Did you know your Laptop could set a fire in your room?

Dear friends happy Eid Ul Azha to all my Muslim brothers and sisters.

In this era technology has been indispensable for everyone. It hasn't only influenced cities but also rural areas. For that very reason crazy people of technology are hankering after it. In school life we usually learnt the merits and demerits of different sort of scientific stuffs.

Having entered in practical life we started experiencing the same theoretical stuffs in the form of practical. Now we grasp that everything has two sides, positive (in our favor) and negative (not in our favor).
I know friends you must be thinking that why my this post is so serious. Friends it is, because what I am going to share with you can cause serious fire in your homes due to laptop. LAPTOP FIRE! How come laptop can fire in our homes and jeopardize us?

I knew friends you would definitely express shocking feelings having heard about laptop fire words. For the first time I didn't believe as well when I heard about it. But when I came to know it’s logic I admitted it. Later on I also went through a story on BBC news about a house burnt due to laptop fire. Let me share with you this story:

The news head line reads: “Devizes house fir was started by laptop”

Someone at home left the laptop on a bed and plugged into the charging and didn't note. Due to overcharging and no room for ventilation under the laptop battery, became overheating and started fire. Due to this house burnt and a pet dog burnt to death said fire investigation. A teenage boy saved his life to jumping off the window on a roof.

It came about in London at 0800 BST on Wednesday. Wiltshire and rescue team was called from a three-story house in Keepers Road, London Road.

Similarly, there are many stories of such tragedy. A 25 years old boy graduated in MBA died due to smoke caused by laptop fire in his room. He came home from hostel on holidays at his parents’ home. After having lunch with his father he told his father to leave the home, but his father asked him to stay unless his mother is back home from her work. He went in his room for some rest where already a laptop was running for some hours on his bed. While he was sleeping his room caught fire and due to breathed in carbon monoxide he couldn't get out of his room and died there.

Few days ago while I was consulting with people regarding the title name of my blog, my brother suggested me to take start with Laptop fire issue to bring something creative information for people. Further he mentioned: Day before yesterday he saw a news on FB that fire happened in home due to someone was using LAPTOP on his bed and laptop generated heat and cotton caught fire on very less heat environment, in result fire happened and person died. His one of office guy also told him the same story happened in his street in Drig Road (Pakistan, Karachi), a man was using laptop on bed, he went to take shower. Few people were sitting outside his house and saw smoke coming out from his room, they rushed to the house and saw bed was burning. House owner luckily saved because he was in bath room. I think lots of people are not aware about this situation you can write a story/article on this subject. Findings: - LT can set a fire on Sofa/ Bed/ Cushion/ Pillow/ Blank kit/ shirt/ Carpet/ paper etc. This situation can be worst for laptops, if your laptop is on over charging and you have put it on cotton or carpet from where its cooling fan can’t get enough room get you the air.

Actually inside the laptop battery there is Lithium ion which is highly flammable. When battery heats up at extreme level, Lithium ion reaches into fire form. I know many of my friends have not heard about such tragedy or perhaps it happens with only one of millions of batteries, but at least its fact. Saving one person’s life is equal to saving entire humanity.

Friends I’d like to share some tips to be away of such chances:

  1.   Use your laptop where A.C cooling is available.
  2.    If A.C isn't available at home then purchase a cooling pad and put it under the laptop.
  3.    If you doubt on your battery fault, replace the battery with new one.
  4.   Don’t ever leave your laptop on Sofa, Bed, Cushion, Pillow, Blank kit, shirt, Carpet and paper for long  hours.
  5.  We can’t just rely on sensors security, they can be failed to work, so always check your laptop to make  sure that everything is working.
  6.   Never overcharge your laptop.
  7.   I suppose making software for alarming the battery certain heat level would be better idea to tackle this problem.

Thank you very much friends.
